‘I greet the God within you!’

Could there be a more moving greeting? Speaking to the heart, with soul. Respecting the unique and special identity of friends and strangers. My trip to Ama Dablam will take me to cultures I’ve never experienced before. The journey will be as much about the people, their values and traditions, as it will be about the mountain.

Look at its name - ‘Ama Dablam’. It means ‘mother’s necklace’. A mountain with cultural significance because of its mountainous beauty. I’m sure it’s more than that. But alone, the meaning of its name personifies the mountain and defines my human relationship with it. It invites me to learn with humility at the cultural bazaar, and be moved by what I find.
