Nine Standards

I was a bit slow, but ran all the way and felt good.

Continuously rebuilt over the centuries, cairns have stood on this site for 800 years, and there’s evidence they go back to the Bronze Age. They patrol the Pennines above Kirkby Stephen, marking the way of Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route.

The snow is melting. Though I was up to my knees in it, in places.
