WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING
You still have hope. If you’re lucky.
We are used to a free education. But what about those who have very little? Despite their poverty, the eagerness to learn in a young person’s smiling face is extremely moving. I saw it in Kibera, the worst slum in Africa.
Nepal’s Sherpa families want the best future for their children. But in remote communities, they don’t have the quality of education to secure it, like we do. As I’ll be trekking through their villages, and relying on sherpa support to achieve my own goals, I want to do something to say thank you. Supporting the education of young people is close to my heart and an ideal way for me to express my thanks.
SUPPORTING NEPAL'S CHILDREN
To raise money for the education of Nepal’s sherpa families, I’ve set up a fund-raising page on Virgin Money Giving.
Donations will go to Supporting Nepal’s Children, a charity who give every penny they raise to the education of children whose families’ sherpa services I will benefit from when I’m in Nepal.
If you would like to join me in enabling a better future for the young people of Nepal’s remote communities, please visit my fund-raising page. In their villages, £5 goes a long way and £10 twice as far! :)
Thank you!
